  @MWellerFX @FOREXcom Lets look at the facts together and decide. Past 20 days AUD decreased 12 days vs +8 days. Down days AUD decreased 2X the its rallies (-0.5% vs + 0.25%). Long term trend is decelerating lower and the price decreased 4% past 20 days. This trade was 8 pips from its TP at 1PM.

However, history of this Fed shows a type 1 error / bias = underestimating inflation risk (e.g. transitory) and bias towards labor market. We will see if QT alone in 2023 will work or they need another round of FRR hikes.

  @FOREXcom Rate hikes are not going to bring NZ geographically closer to the world. Most of our inflation is external. Net exporter - with Cindy looking bad in the press, I'd say a surprise covid rate hold. These are a slippery lot.
